About the Editor

Eden Rivers is the brainchild, alter ego and occasional pen name of Lisa Ann Schleipfer.

Lisa A. Schleipfer grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, where the public library became the impetus for a lifelong love affair with books. Lisa was educated at Baldwin-Wallace College, where she earned a B.A. in English.

After graduating, Lisa joined the Americorps VISTA program. She travelled to Oklahoma, working with an educational grant that acted as a resource for underprivileged students and gave them the tools to pursue higher education.

After her year of service, Lisa moved into the publishing world, working with trade magazines and a world-renown textbook publisher before settling into her role as Owner and Editor/Writer for Eden Rivers Editorial Services.

Over the years Lisa has continued to publish articles, stories and poetry. Her work in country music journalism can be seen on, and her poetry can be found in the recent Nothing But Red anthology, a book dedicated to the abolishment of honor killings, with proceeds from book sales benefiting Equality Now.

She currently resides in Orlando, Florida with her husband, Christian and her cat, Walter.
